If the Pasadena Jail is overcrowded or it's after thier arraignment they will be transfered to the Men's Central Jail (Twin Towers) in Downtown Los Angeles or Lynwood Jail for women. The process of bailing out of the Central Jail takes much longer (usually 12-24 hours), and thus it is better to bail quickly out of the Pasadena Jail (typically 1 hour) to avoid this. Call the jail first to confirm visiting hours and schedules if you plan to visit your friend or family at the facility.

If you choose not to post a bail bond for the defendant he or she will then be awaiting there arraignment date. This is typically 2 business days after they are arrested. From that point it is up to the court as to when the defendant may be released or sentanced for a longer period.
